Your staff who help our community are dedicated and marvellous people. We have found Nurse Maude to be a wonderful service.
Specialist wound service
Our nurses assess, manage and advise on chronic or complex wounds or leg ulcers and provide care plans aimed at preventing wounds, including compression hosiery.
Our registered nurses provide support, assessment, treatment and education for anyone over four years of age with a continence issue.
If needed, subsidised continence products may be available.
You can access this service through your doctor or medical specialist and it is usually provided at the Nurse Maude Infusion Centre in Merivale. If the Infusion Centre is not the best place for you to receive your treatment this will be discussed with you and an alternative arrangement may be made.
Diabetes primary care support team
Nurse Maude provides support and information to General Practice for people with type 2 diabetes in the community, including assistance with the start of insulin or changes in medication. The service provides access to specialist nurses and a dietitian.
We give clients the resources they need to live with a stoma independently, comfortably, and with dignity. This includes visits in hospital and at home, arranging for ostomy equipment, and stoma supplies, clinics for regular checks and referral to other health professionals.
The health and well-being of our rangatahi is something we are passionate about. The future generation.
Our school-based nursing services offers care and advice to young people who attend secondary school, alternative education facilities and teen parent units. Our nurses provide a free service in a safe and friendly manner. No judgements here just practical support when things get tough.
